Our Story

1926 "The Beginnings"

It all began in 1926, where the original general store was established serving the small community of West Hoxton. It was purchased by the Noiosi Family in 1969 where they saw a need for more community shopping. Mr Tony Noiosi expanded the general store to include several small shops and thus began the beginning of a shopping era.
1978 "Sam & Lou Join the Family Business"

Sam Noiosi left school in 1978 to commence a hardware store within the shopping centre. As the business grew, his brother Lou Noiosi, also left school and commenced working with Sam to build the business into a thriving hardware and produce store servicing not only West Hoxton but also the surrounding local areas.
"Catering for Residential"

As the region was mainly rural, Sam & Lou supplied customers with agricultural farm supplies and animal produce for many years. As times changed and rural became residential, Sam & Lou saw a need for more hardware, timber and landscaping supplies to cater for the growing families in the area.
"Supplying Building Materials"

Construction within the area was booming and builders were looking for a supplier. Sam and Lou saw a niche in the market for builders, so their decision to supply building materials was beneficial to their business.
2000: "A Growing Community"

To accommodate the growing community, a new store and sand and soil yard was built in 2000. With over 12,000sq mts and over 35,000 lines of hardware, West Hoxton Home Timber & Hardware has expanded into a prosperous company.
Today: "Serving Our Community"

Fast forward to today and our shop is the best it has ever been. We’ve responded to the evolving needs of our customers to give you exactly what you need. With over 25 staff members, 1 trade sales rep and 9 trucks.
